AN EVENING ON FTA session (Press & TV coverage)
In the run-up to INTRADE Malaysia 2010, on Tuesday 17 August 2010, a session titled AN EVENING ON FTA was organized for members of the press. Presented by the CEO of MATRADE Dato Noharuddin Nordin, this 90-minute session was held with the following objectives:
To discuss FTA issues with the media and the lead up to the FTA@INTRADE program to be held during INTRADE 2010
To make simple the meaning of FTA and how exporters in Malaysia can benefit from preferential tariff treatment and market access.
To explain the FTAs that Malaysia have signed to-date and the upcoming FTAs
To explain to SMEs on how INTRADE 2010 will act as the perfect platform to enhance the utilization of FTAs with the current partner countries with emphasis on its ASEAN partners.
